DCTC Portfolio Show Branding

The Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) Portfolio Show is an annual spring event that celebrates graduating graphic design students while connecting them with potential clients and employers. As part of our coursework, each student developed a personal vision for the show's branding, with one selected by a vote of our peers to represent the graduating class. I’m proud that my design was chosen as the official brand for this year’s show.

My goal was to reflect on the diversity and wide-ranging skills of DCTC’s students, including the tools and software we’ve learned throughout our education. I created a “kitchen sink” style design composed of distinct, stylistically varied blocks that represent different media. Starting with a conceptual sketch, I built out the elements using a combination of raster, vector, and 3D software. The final branding system was applied across posters, flyers, postcards, social media graphics, and digital displays throughout the college.
